How: At Empty Bowls, each guest will enjoy a delicious soup lunch prepared by area chefs and choose a handmade bowl made by students and artists throughout the region to take home as a powerful symbol of the empty bowls in our community. Through the collaboration of potters and artists, educators, volunteers and the faith and business communities, the Empty Bowls soup luncheon seeks to raise awareness about hunger in Sacramento and support River City Community Services' emergency food and shelter services.
Again, this year, guests can browse the Potters' Market where professional potters and other artists have special pieces available for purchase.
