FACT SHEET
Emergency Food Assistance Program
July 2004
The weather has been hot, and towards the end of the month the
lines outside our door have been long. Our clients do not have
the luxury of vacations, and we are reminded daily how important
our work really is.
Although we enjoy seeing children in our waiting room, we know
that their presence is bitter sweet. Our statistics show that
we have served more children since May. We remember that the school
breakfast and lunch programs do not continue through the summer,
so many of the children are without this important service. All
of us at RCCS are grateful for the ability to help them through
the summer.
Thank you for your help, your food donations, your gifts and
your care.
