Emergency Food and Shelter Assistance Programs
December 2005
As we close the year, we are grateful for the continued support
of organizations, churches, and individuals who give so much to
us throughout the year.
This month we would especially like to recognize the employees
of PASCO from Roseville who organized the largest food drive in
the history of River City Community Services. In less than a month,
they collected over two and a half TONS of our most essential
food items. We thank them for their care, compassion and incredible
generosity!
Mark your calendars:
Our third annual Empty Bowls Charity Luncheon will be held on
Tuesday, March 14 at the Masonic Temple, 1123 J Street in downtown
Sacramento. For $25, a guest will lunch on gourmet soup, bread
and a cookie, and choose a hand crafted bowl to take home as a
reminder of the "empty bowls" in our community and the
world. Tickets are now on sale
on our website.
During the month of December, we served:
- 2,542 Clients
- 1,494 adults
- 1,048 children
- 1,043 households
Thank you for your continued support as we move into 2006!
