Volunteer Position Description
Responsible to: Program Manager
Purpose: To interview clients and determine eligibility for receiving food assistance from RCCS and to refer clients to other agencies and programs depending on need.
Responsibilities:
1. Ask for identification for all family members receiving assistance.
2. If previous client, update computer record; if new client, create new record.
3. Complete log sheet and get client's signature.
4. For single person families, obtain groceries, weigh and record each order.
5. Send order for multi-person families to the grocery order processor.
6. Refer clients to other agencies for assistance as needed.
Time required: Ongoing position, 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. once a week. Weekly, monthly or substitute positions available.
